poems
"I must have been waiting for something to remind me."
Once I was found dancing.
I claimed certain mysterious reasons,
voices speaking to me from the hot chocolate.
I invented a song
for the sake of lost
forgotten laws
of the heart.
I surrendered my will to fireflys.
I became invisible & obvious
like the smell of coffee
or Paris.
I would lose a thought
and it would assume form
in the world.
And conversely,
a proud noisy truth of mine
would reluctantly shed it's element
and disappear.
I lived with terrible wonder.
I was constantly dropping right out of sight,
my overcoat falling empty to the floor.
This doesn't happen anymore.
But I mean to begin again.
